On Friday, June 26, Janne Van Hauwenhuyse successfully defended her PhD dissertation, Identification and Development of Novel Treatment Options for Glioblastoma. Her defense was the second PhD defense in our group that week, making it a special and memorable week for the entire team.
In her research, Janne evaluated FR-027, a novel Exportin 1 (XPO1) inhibitor, as a potential treatment for glioblastoma. Her findings showed strong anti-tumor activity and improved tolerability in preclinical models, highlighting FR-027 as a promising therapeutic candidate for glioblastoma and other cancers.
Congratulations to Dr Janne Van Hauwenhuyse on this fantastic achievement!
